Bamboo Cloud OTT Kickoff document
I have a Bamboo enterprise account, and I want to launch my own apps!!
How do I get started?
We're here to help!
Before we can start working on launching your apps, we'll need you to fill up our Kickoff document.
In this article, we'll walk you through some inputs and guidelines.
Bamboo Pro tip: Everything that you see in the OTT kickoff document is info that you can get in the app stores,
and features you can find under the "Apps" module (Settings & Theme).
We just gathered it here, so the kickoff of the apps will be as smooth and fast as possible.
Our Kickoff document is divided into 3 pages:
2. Visual- Colors and Special visual options
Basic info and images
This section has all you need when opening your app in the app store- name, description, and some support contact.
Not everything is a must, we wrote down what is.
After it, you can find all the info needed about image sizes and where they are used, so you can start setting everything up for your brand!
Some of the images will be used in the stores and some in the app itself.

Visual- Colors and Special visual options
This section is all about how your app will look.
It's made out of 2 parts- Colors and Special visual options.
The color part is easier to understand, you need to choose the different colors that you want to use in your app.
Some are move start forward and some are a bit more complicated, please choose whatever you think works with your brand, you can always change it later!
Bamboo Pro tip: The colors in the system are in HEX codes, please use a site with hex codes to find the right colors for you. For example- https://htmlcolorcodes.com/
The Special visual options include a lot of options that can make your app unique!
Please note that this part is OPTIONAL, you don't have to fill it up.
This section is divided to a few sub-sections according to the screen that they are related to.
For example, the first section is dedicated to the login page, where you can set custom buttons and a welcome text.
The second section is related to the entire app and refers to using a custom font for the app.
Bamboo Pro tip: We recommend paying extra attention to the special features that Bamboo OTT has to offer, like adding "opening screens", custom images that load when a user first opens the app.
App functionality
The 3rd and final sheet of the OTT kickoff is all about app functionality.
It's also divided into sections according to the relevant subject or feature.
The only section that is a must is the first section that refers to app login process.
You will need to make some important decisions like if you want to force login at the beginning of the app or allow users to skip it, or not see it all together.
The additional sections are optional but allow for some great and important features like allowing the app to automatically play the next video, to enable binge watching 🙂
Allow user history recording which also super critical for user experience and much more!
